Native Plant Nurseries in Alabama

Alabama's native plant communities range from the longleaf pine savannas and coastal plain flatwoods of the south to the ridge-and-valley forests and Cumberland Plateau of the north. The state was once blanketed by longleaf pine — a keystone ecosystem that supported more than 900 plant species and is now reduced to less than 3% of its original extent, making Alabama a priority region for native plant restoration.
