Native Plant Nurseries in Delaware

Delaware occupies the fall line between the Piedmont and the Atlantic Coastal Plain — a narrow but ecologically distinct zone where Appalachian flora meets coastal plain species. The state's Christina River watershed and Delaware Bay shoreline are priorities for native plant restoration, and Delaware's Atlantic white cedar swamps and freshwater tidal marshes support rare plant communities found at few other locations on the East Coast.
