Native Plant Nurseries in Vermont

Vermont's northern hardwood and boreal forest covers more than 75% of the state, making it one of the most forested states in the eastern US. The Green Mountains support a classic northern forest of sugar maple, yellow birch, and American beech above 2,500 feet, giving way to spruce-fir communities at higher elevations. Vermont's native plant communities are among the most intact in New England.
